Common questions

How does the alarm know I prayed?

The app uses your iPhone's on-device speech recognition to follow along as you read the prayer on screen. When enough of the prayer has been said, the alarm stops.

Does my voice leave my phone?

No. Speech is processed on your device. Your alarms and prayers also stay on your phone. See the privacy policy for details.

The alarm isn't hearing me.

Check that Pray to Wake has microphone and speech recognition access in Settings, then read clearly at a normal pace. Very loud background noise can make it harder to follow along.

Which prayers are included?

The Our Father, Hail Mary, Morning Offering, Glory Be and the Angelus, plus any custom prayers you add.

When is it available?
