Pray to Wake

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Pray to Wake is an iPhone alarm app that you turn off by reading a prayer out loud. This policy explains what data the app and this website use.

Speech recognition

When an alarm rings, the app listens through your microphone so it can check that you read the prayer. Speech is processed on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your voice recordings and transcripts are not sent to us, and we do not store them.

Alarms and prayers

Your alarms, settings and any custom prayers you add are stored on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Permissions

The app asks for microphone and speech recognition access so it can hear you pray, and for alarm and notification access so it can wake you. You can change these at any time in the iPhone Settings app.

Waitlist email

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address and use it only to tell you when Pray to Wake launches. We do not sell or share it. To be removed, email support@praytowake.com.

Website analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It collects standard information such as browser type, pages viewed and approximate location. It does not identify you personally.

Pray to Wake does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
